This five-week course will explain how to research your relative’s service in the Great War including service in the Army, Navy and RAF. It will look at the service of dominion and imperial forces as well as the role of women both in military service and as nurses and VAD’s. It will examine how entry into military service changed from volunteering to conscription, the role of tribunals, conscientious objectors.
It is often forgotten the impact of the Great War on the Home Front was enormous, so the course will examine the impact of the war on those not serving in the armed forces.
Five 2 hour in-person sessions.
Course fees are £50 / £40 concessions. Further information and booking are available at LLD Eventbrite
