Library & Collections

One small corner of our library

The Library, downstairs in our Princes Street premises, holds over 5000 items including volumes of Memorial Inscriptions, Individual family history collections, folders of Family Group sheets, research papers, sasines from our area, maps and plans, migration records, volumes and records from military sources and many references volumes dealing with history and genealogy, places, industries, employment…

While our main focus is on the Tay Valley area, many of our holdings cover much more of Scotland.

You can search our Catalogue either in our research premises, or using the online search tool. Members may access the records (with help from a Volunteer) when visiting the centre, and our Research Team draws on these items when assisting out-of-area members.  The listing has more columns to the right - scroll (swipe on a tablet) to see more.
