The Society’s AGM will be held on Wednesday, 20th May, 2015 at 7:15 pm in the University of Abertay, Bell Street, Dundee. One of the items of business is the election of office bearers and Council members. To download the notice of the vacancies to be filled click here, and for the agenda click here.

As usual, the meeting will be followed by a talk. The speaker this year is our own Angus Gellatly and the title of his talk is Metagama, Canadian Pacific Line. Launched in 1914 at the Barclay, Curle & Co shipyard on the Clyde the Metagama first crossed the Atlantic in 1915.  She carried many emigrants from Scotland to Canada in the 1920s. After 151 North Atlantic roundtrips she was laid up in 1930 and scrapped in 1934. It promises to be most interesting.
